Jane has worked with animals in a wide variety of educational and research settings, including the Schuylkill Valley Nature Center, the Philadelphia Zoo, and the Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust on the Isle of Jersey in the English Channel.

Jane is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer.  She holds a B.A. degree in Animal Behavior from Beaver College (now Arcadia University); a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania; and a second Master's Degree in Psycho Educational Processes from Temple University.

Jane has studied under Pat Miller, CPDT, CDBC, internationally known dog trainer and animal behaviorist who has written Positive Perspectives and The Power of Positive Dog Training and Pat is the training editor for Whole Dog Journal.

To keep current on dog training techniques, Jane attends dog training conventions and seminars.

Jane has also completed coach training with The Coaches Training Institute, San Rafael, CA.

Jane resides in Delaware County, PA with her partner and Gracie, a petite and precocious Chihuahua mix, and Stevie, a blind Sheltie/Chihuahua mix.  Scout, her beloved Rottweiler, passed away January 19th, 2010.
