“Bitsy Come!”  When your dog hears her name called does she turn around and race towards you?  Does she stand and look at you?  Or does she grab a toy and run the opposite way?  Having your dog come directly to you every time you call her is the most important behavior you can teach your dog.  Coming when called can save your dog’s life.

The Emergency Recall is a highly effective, easy to follow method used to teach your dog to come immediately when called the first time you call her.  Learning this technique will give you the confidence that you can handle any situation, such as: the leash pulling out of your hand, another dog chasing after your dog, a strange animal on your property or getting your dog back to you after someone left the door open.

In this class you will learn how to motivate your dog to pay attention to you.  Using this positive, reward-based method you and your dog will be enjoying the training experience.  The second week will consist of distractions and games to proof your dog and human team’s new found skill.  You will come away from this class with a consistent recall that can keep both you and your dog happy and safe.

A Pawsitive Approach to Good Behavior

6 one hour weekly sessions - $150

Start Date: Saturday 9/11/2010

Does your dog delight guests or scare them away?  Learn a new, exciting, positive, reward-based  method to train your dog to put his best paw forward.  Dogs learn basic good manners – polite greeting, sit, down, stay, walk on a leash, come, drop it, leave it, and much more..  We also discuss other dog behavior challenges according to class need/interest. Limited to 5 dogs.  Dogs must have completed their vaccinations by the start of class.
