During the next four weeks, we saw changes in Camden that we never thought would be possible.

Jane came in and in less than 5 minutes she redirected my dog’s jumping up on guests!

Along with Jane's many
skills as a dog training, her technical expertise and her positive approach are so valuable, because of her obvious love for all creatures who inhabit
our planet.

"We contacted Jane and she was able to talk with us and get something set up for Camden by Monday of the next week. Steve and I were completely frustrated with Camden and definitely needed help. We knew that Camden was a smart puppy but didn't have the experience to make it happen on our own. Reading Puppies for Dummies was helpful but just didn't seem to be enough. Jane came and our lives haven't been the same since. Her positive reinforcement approach, even though overwhelming at first, was just what Camden needed. Camden took very well to Jane and so did we. During the next four weeks, we saw changes in Camden that we never thought would be possible. We just finished up our last session and couldn't be happier with the results. We are very thankful to Jane and her services for making having a puppy a fun experience again. We would definitely recommend her!

You have really made a difference in Camden's life and our life as well.
"

Thank you Jane!

"We couldn't be happier with a trainer than we are with Jane.  When we adopted two 10 week old puppies at the same time, we knew we would need some help in teaching them manners.  Jane was referred to us by a couple we met while shopping for pet supplies.  They couldn't say enough about how wonderful she was with their dog.  Jane's gentle, but firm, manner is just what Ben and Jerry needed.  From the first time she entered our house she had their attention.  Anyone who's seen two 5 month old puppies together knows that that in itself is an accomplishment.  Jane, who obviously loves animals and has an amazing connection with them, recognized that each one had his own personality and addressed them accordingly.  Our first session went so well that the puppies sat at the front door and cried when Jane left!     My husband and I have learned how well the positive reinforcement system of training works, and we have learned to emulate Jane's patience and encouragement in working with the puppies.  We both feel that the reward system of training is far superior to the old "punishment" method.  We don't need to shout at our dogs to get them to obey.  Consistency, patience and rewards produce desired results in an atmosphere that is so much more pleasant.  At six months, our puppies now come when called, are learning to heel when we walk, and sit and lie down on command.  They have learned to pay attention to us, and are so much more socially acceptable and fun to be with.  We, and Ben and Jerry, owe it all to Jane."

"It was such a pleasure working with Jane. Although we had worked with trainers before, Jane came in and in less than 5 minutes she redirected my dog’s jumping up on guests! Something I have been working on for years! I now have the tools and language I need to keep my dog off of visitors that come to the door! Jane has a sweet manor with animals that adds to her attraction and expertise."

"Jane has an enormous amount of dog training experience.  Even though it was necessary for her to coach me by telephone, since I live in Washington State, she was very intuitive and methodical in the way that she was able to assist me.  Maggie is a female Bull Terrier, who just turned 2 years old when I adopted her from a breeder.  She was untrained in nearly every way possible, walking on a leash and house breaking were very high priorities.  Maggie also needed to conform to our way of living, and fortunately I work at home most of the time, so I was able to monitor her general activities with a greater degree of consistency.

Along with Jane's many skills as a dog training, her technical expertise and her positive approach are so valuable, because of her obvious love for all creatures who inhabit our planet.  Jane is very patient, gentle and compassionate, and she is truly devoted to her profession.

Once anyone decides to begin to work with Jane, one will immediately realize how truly gifted she is.  I highly recommend Jane Brydon to anyone who is in need of her services as a dog trainer, and keep in mind the training includes the dog owner as well.  The dog owner must be committed to follow through for the maximum results."

"I adopted Sophia when she was 6 years old.  Sophia had spent her entire life chained to a tree with no socialization other than a bag of dry food dumped on the dirt in front of her periodically. She was rescued when her ‘owner’ abandoned his house and just left her on ‘her tree’. When Sophia came to my home, Sophia did not trust, Sophia was highly anxious at every sight and sound, Sophia would not let herself be touched. Sophia had learned it was up to her to protect herself from the world.

I contacted Jane, not very optimistic that anyone could get through to Sophia after all she had been through. The first time Jane came to the house, Sophia spent 45 minutes charging the fence, eyes bulging, salivating profusely. While Jane was patiently implementing subtle (in my eyes) strategies to communicate with Sophia, I sat quietly thinking, ‘What have I gotten myself into with this dog?’ Sophia was so frenetic that it took one hour for her to let Jane even approach the fence for a few seconds, treat in hand. Sophia would be quiet long enough to earn the treat, inhale it, and then return to her barking and lunging and spitting. At the end of the first session, Jane shared that she felt optimistic about helping Sophia. I again thought to myself, ‘She has got to be kidding. Did she not just witness what I witnessed?’

I did decide to schedule another session with Jane. Sophia started off the second session the same as she did the first. But this time, it only took 20 minutes for her to allow Jane to approach the fence. In subsequent sessions, Sophia became increasingly receptive to Jane because of the confident, but calm manner she used to communicate with her. While coaching Sophia, Jane also coached me on the strategies to use with her and explained bit by bit what she was doing. Jane showed me how to maintain Sophia’s attention despite her anxieties, to teach her to respond to basic commands, which helped her to learn to trust. Confidence in me and in herself followed. During her last session she even had Sophia willingly entering my van, something she had never done previously unless picked up.

Embedded in Jane’s techniques as a dog coach are patience, warmth, a positive approach, and a deep understanding of how dogs think. Throughout the training sessions it was abundantly clear how much Jane loves what she does. By Sophia’s development I can testify that Sophia also loves what Jane does because she can now enjoy her new life!"

"Hi Jane --   Thanks for working with me and Manly. I learned a lot and hopefully Manly and I will learn more together as we go along! The class you gave at Orianna Hill was great. I wish more people had been there, but I really think it was well received by those who attended. Thank you! We'll work on our new lessons for a bit and I'll let you know if/when we need more help! You've been a great help so far. Mostly, of course, in reminding me to be a more vigilant owner. Thank you!"

"Jane has an unexplainable but immediate and profound calming influence on even the most manic dogs. She has a sense of Zen that translates well for both the owner and dog -- she makes everyone calmer so they can think and respond more clearly. If she can calm me and my dogs down, she can help anyone!"

" Now our training triumph that we had to pass along to you with a ton of thanks... about 15 minutes ago, I ran out to my car and left the front door opened... storm door closed. Reg must have heard the door open/close and came running to the living room... saw a man walking a Great Dane and managed to get the storm door open! He flew out of the house, across and down the street after the Dane... I forgot all about the emergency recall, but Ken didn't... Ken yelled our emergency word... Reg stopped sniffing the other dog and came running back home!! We haven't practiced the emergency recall in quite some time, but are thrilled that Reg remembered it!!   After back in the house, we rewarded Reg for about 30 seconds with non-stop chicken. Good boy!   Thank you, thank you, thank you. Now that I've caught my breath, the "what if's" have set in... and can't thank you enough for teaching us all the emergency command.

Hope you're doing well and thank you, thank you, thank you again,

Jean, Ken, Steph, Reg, Brit and JT!"
